As soon as Anh got home from school, he received a call from Erin Nolan, the scholarship director of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, informing him that he had become the recipient of the $10,000 scholarship he had always dreamed of.
Anh made history as the first Vietnamese percussionist to win the high school marimba competition at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention two times in a row
The Frederick Fennell Scholarship allowed Anh to study at the Interlochen Arts Academy on a full $10,000 scholarship for six weeks during the summer of 2022.
Anh has been the percussionist for the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra--the most prestigious youth ensemble in Georgia--for over three seasons.
"Anh Ho is a 16-year-old percussion player from Lawrenceville. The rising junior at Collins Hill High School was named a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist and is set to tour nationally with a youth orchestra."
With his trusted friend Declan Johnston, Anh founded the Collins Hill Tri-M Honor Society Chapter. Together, Anh and Declan have recruited over 68 members for their first meeting, making it one of the most populous meetings for any club at Collins Hill.
